Our history
Founded, with the first customs warehouse
The Hentschel-Speditions-Gesellschaft was founded by Eckart Hentschel. He secured the first major business partner from the USA and established the open customs warehouse in Dachau with a two-man team. From there, the imported household appliances were shipped to southern and eastern Europe. Step by step, the successful high-flyer built the foundation of the company – and it remains the basis of HSG's success to this day.
Growth into northern and western Europe
The business expanded its operations to include northern and western Europe, and the team grew to over 10 employees.
New markets in Central Asia
Exports to Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Mongolia were added.
A wider range of goods
We acquired new customers and expanded our expertise to include household appliances, accessories, textiles, truck leaf springs, coffee, wine, and much more.
The generational transition
We achieved what many fail to accomplish: the generational transition! As of 1 October 2022, Tiziana D'Acunto assumed the role of the new managing director. She has worked in the company for more than 30 years and, as its long-standing authorised officer, knows every part of it. The customers and the team are close to her heart.
